1. In Korean...I read paragraphs selectively...I skim read

2. e-books are more concenient

3. I'm not a big reader.

4. I'm not crazy about reading in general.

5. I read novels...I've recently got into using an e-reader

6. unfamiliar topics / unfamiliar register = level of formality

7. use refixes of suffixes to hep you = prefece / careless

8. I look at the context = thesituation...Wht's the topic? Is it pos nor neg?

9. Speak with as many different people as possible

10. Look at word frequency lists

 

1. accent vs. dialect

2. catch vs. catch up

3. listening for gist vs. listening for detail

4. I got the gist of what you say

5. Listen todifferent vwrsions of Ebglish pnline / in the news

6. I've had more exposure to US English...so it sounds more familiar

7. information overload

8. Ypu only get one listen in a test...we have to focus from the start.
